Bottle Sizing

Not sure what size to buy?

If it's your first time trying a fragrance, we recommend starting with a 1 oz. sample size, which will let you test the fragrance for both smell and performance in your projects. From there, you can get larger sizes when you're ready to scale things up a bit!

Our Fragrances

What is Fragrance Made Of?

Fragrance oils are made with a mix of natural and synthetic (lab made) raw materials. These materials have been rigorously researched by the RIFM (Research Institute for Fragrance Materials) and evaluated by IFRA (International Fragrance Association) to ensure their safety when used in anything from lotions, to bath bombs, to candles and more. The raw materials used in our fragrances are put through multiple quality control tests to make sure they are free of hazards or unnecessary fillers.

Are Fragrances Skin Safe?

Based on the raw materials in a fragrance, their safety for use on the skin varies. While some fragrances can safely be applied directly to the skin, most have maximum usage rates dictated by IFRA that limit them to a certain percentage. Before using a fragrance on your skin or in a leave-on/rinse-off application (like soaps, lotions, or bath bombs), carefully examine its IFRA certification sheet to avoid potential skin irritation.

What is IFRA?

IFRA, short for the International Fragrance Association, is the main regulatory body in the fragrance industry. IFRA sets safe usage rates for fragrances in any product it might be used in. IFRA designates categories based on how a product is used so you can determine how much fragrance you are allowed to use it based on a percentage rate.

What IFRA Category Should I Use?

Here are some of the common product/craft types you might be familiar with and their corresponding IFRA categories:

Category 2 - Deodorants, antiperspirants (spray, stick, roll-on), body sprays, body mists

Category 4 - Fine fragrances (alcohol or oil-based), liquid aftershaves, scented bracelets

Category 5A - Body butter, lotion, foot cream, bug spray

Category 5B - Facial creams, toners, moisturizers, beard/mustache care

Category 5C - Hand creams, hand lotions, nail oils, hand sanitizers

Category 7A - Hair dyes, hair relaxers

Category 7B - Hair spray, styling aids, dry shampoo, hair perfume

Category 9 - Bar soap, body wash, bath bombs, bubble bath, shampoo, conditioner, shaving cream

Category 10A - Reed diffusers

Category 12 - Candles, wax melts, machine wash laundry detergent, incense

This list does not contain all categories and product types. Please view the provided IFRA documentation on each of our product listings to learn more about safe usage limits.

Where Can I Find Regulatory Information? (IFRA, EU Allergen Report, etc.)

These documents are located on all of our product listings. They provide instructions for safe usage rates in your products and how to properly handle the fragrance.

What is The Shelf Life of A Fragrance?

When stored properly tightly sealed, away from direct heat or sunlight, and in their original bottles, fragrance oils typically have a shelf life of 1 to 2 years before they begin to smell weaker or "off". If your fragrance begins to smell like crayons or old cooking oil, it might be time to restock!

Misc.

Why are My Fragrance Bottles Not Full?

Fragrance oils are filled by weight, not volume. Every fragrance oils has a different density, meaning some are "heavier" than others and vice versa. Some fragrance bottles may seem fuller than others because their difference in density causes them to take up more or less volume in the bottle.

Do You Offer Free Samples?

We do not offer free samples, but our 1 oz. sample size bottles are competitively priced and the perfect way to test fragrances in your products!

Do You Sell Products Other Than Fragrance?

We do not offer finished products like soaps, candles, or bath bombs. Instead, we just sell the fragrances that you can use to make your own products!

Can Your Fragrances be Used as Flavoring?

No; our fragrances are intended for use only as such and should be used in edible products like candy or lipgloss. They may smell great, but they don't taste that great...trust us.

Why Did Your Fragrance Give Me A Rash?!

Ouch, we're sorry to hear that happened! If used properly in accordance with IFRA guidelines, our fragrances are safe for both leave-on and rinse-off applications on the skin. If you do experience a rash or burning sensation after using our fragrance, please double check that you did not exceed the recommended usage rates as outlined in the corresponding IFRA sheet. Remember that these usage rates are different for every fragrance and cannot be used as a "one-size-fits-all" reference!
